Marcou Artifacts is an "artistic venture" between Mr. Anil Counto & Mr. Francisco Martins. Mr. Anil Counto who is one of the leading industrialist and businessman of Goa is well –established into manufacturing, RMC, real estate, construction, hospitality and trading. Mr. Francisco Martins who is renowned as Goa’s Float King, having represented Goa at Republic Day parades in New Delhi for multiple years and a leading name in the event management industry of Goa.

Marcou Artifacts, city’s new curio destination is an idea that was conceptualized when Francisco Martins and Anil Counto were on a trip to Portugal. During their trip, they were inspired to pioneer ceramic products and unique souvenirs depicting Goan culture. The idea behind Marcou was to give people outside India, a symbolic remembrance of Goa. The first store was inaugurated on April 24th 2012.At the moment, the production unit is set up in Corlim Industrial Estate-Old Goa, where all the products are hand made and designed by local artisans. Marcou Artifacts in Panjim is our first outlet and we plan to take our designs all over Goa.

The partners mutual interests in art have merged to start Marcou Artifacts.  What you get here is a fusion of creativity and quality which promotes local talent in an earnest effort to spread the Goan culture and its rich heritage beyond the shores of its land.  Currently on sale are ceramics, clay &FRP artifacts like serving trays, azulejos, vases, mugs, bowl of different shapes and sizes and many more products. Miniature figurines of renowned Goan Cartoonist Mario Miranda are also available. We plan to venture into furniture made from ceramics and wood
